Story folders with a status rail
Move each story through draft, edit, legal, approved and published. Everyone sees the current stage at a glance, and stages can be renamed to fit your desk.
No. 02 of 06 · Editorial teams
Press Room Storage gives editorial teams one place for drafts, photos and approvals, with a visible status on every story.
“The best deadline tool is knowing exactly which version is the one that counts.”
A story is never one file. It is a draft with six revisions, a folder of photographs, a legal read, a headline debate and a deadline. When those pieces live in email threads and personal folders, somebody always publishes from the wrong version.
Press Room Storage organizes work the way a desk actually runs. Each story gets its own folder with a status rail from draft to published, photo assets carry their captions and credits, and approvals are recorded with a name and a time. When the story is done, it moves on to the archive without anyone dragging files around.
What is inside
Move each story through draft, edit, legal, approved and published. Everyone sees the current stage at a glance, and stages can be renamed to fit your desk.
Caption, credit and usage notes are stored with every image and travel with it wherever it goes.
Approvals are recorded with the editor’s name and the time, so there is never a question about who signed off.
See who has a draft open before you edit it, and lock a version while a final read is under way.
Hold files back from partners until a set date and time, then release them automatically.
When a story is published, its final files are passed to Clip Archive with metadata already filled in.
How it runs
Start from a template with the stages, roles and folders your desk already uses.
Add text, images and notes. Credits and captions are captured as files arrive.
Send the story to the next reader. Each sign-off is stamped and logged.
Mark the story published and let the final files move to the archive on their own.
